Most fad diets will restrict you to eating just a few things. Others will literally starve you with their portions. But with the Paleo Diet, it is all about eating what you should be eating in the first place. The reason why the paleo diet works is because it is all about evolution. In the past 10,000 years, are diets have changed radically and what we eat is based on an agricultural diet; rice, wheat, pasta, and breads. The premise behind this diet is that we haven’t had time to evolve enough to eat what most of our diets is today. Instead, our focus should be devoted to what our ancestors ate when we were hunters and gatherers. This may sound limiting but given the various things you CAN eat, this diet could please virtually any palate.
What is off the table is sugars, breads, rice and pasta and pretty much anything else that is considered agricultural including milk. The creator of the paleo diet believes that not only will these things make us fat though, He also believes that there is a link between some growing modern day diseases and our diet.
The Paleo Diet is supposed to help relieve conditions such as arthritis, which is nothing more than an inflammation in the joints, because, the creator asserts, the body can fully concentrate its efforts on treating it by eating a cleaner diet .
In fact, many people who have been on this diet for even just a month, have seen their blood pressure drop, their cholesterol levels return to normal, and have experienced greater energy.
Losing Weight on the Paleo Diet
Reduce Inflammation, lower cholesterol and hypertension and control your diabetes is good but how effective is the paleo diet when it comes to losing weight? The amazing thing is that it is a belly buster because it eliminates all the things that make us fat in the first place… Things like bread and pastas are gone . Many condiments, which contain sugar are gone . Beer, wine and all forms of alcohol…gone. .
And while this may seem a bit drastic, the reward for you is most likely going to be the body that you had when you were a teen. The question is how disciplined are you?
